Tom Bodett is a writer and broadcast personality. His career began in Alaska writing personal narratives for radio. His style and humor appealed to local audiences and within four months he became a contributor on National Public Radio. He wrote three books of fiction, and became a panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me. With the move to Dummerston, Vermont in 2003, he continued broadcasting and turned to woodworking. But it wasn’t until he was invited to appear on The Moth in front of a live audience at the Flynn Theater in Burlington, Vermont that he found his true calling was storytelling. And decided that he wanted to be remembered as a storymaker.
